Summary
Arabians Lost: The Engagement on Desert, often shortened to Arabians Lost, is a female‑oriented otome adventure originally crafted by QuinRose. The narrative follows Aileen Olazabal, the only daughter of Prince Gilkhatar, who desperately wants to abandon her royal destiny and live like an ordinary teen. When her parents set her up for an arranged marriage, she strikes a bold deal: raise ten million gold in twenty‑five days, and she earns the freedom to pursue her own life and love. The game mixes classic point‑and‑click exploration with timed challenges, urging players to balance romance, resource gathering, and strategic choices. After its PC debut in 2006, the title migrated to PlayStation 2 in 2007 and later made its way onto the Nintendo DS in 2009, where handheld fans could juggle Aileen’s ambitions on the go.
Storyline
Arabians Lost follows Aileen Olazabal, the only daughter of Gilkhatar, who despises her royal duties. On the eve of her birthday the king and queen force a marriage and set a wager: raise 10 000 000 Gils in 25 days or lose her freedom. Determined to live a normal life, Aileen accepts and can call on six potential companions. Curtis Nile, the smiling head of the assassins’ guild, grew up in the slums and excels at lock‑picking.
Curtis Nile, Roberto Cromwell, Shark Brandon, Stuart Sink, Tyrone Bale and Lille Sluman each bring unique skills. Roberto runs a casino, is a compulsive gambler and a skilled cheat. Shark heads the trader’s guild, can procure anything, and doubles as a doctor. Stuart, heir to the northern business district, is cold, calculating and a neat‑freak, while Tyrone, heir to the southern district, is quick‑tempered but generous. Lille Sluman, Aileen’s strict tutor, wields a sword‑cane gifted by Roberto. The game blends romance, strategy and desert adventure as Aileen races against time.
