Summary

Zool: Majū Tsukai Densetsu — officially Zoor: Majuu Tsukai Densetsu—is a Japan‑only Nintendo 64 role‑playing title from 1999. The game blends classic top‑down town exploration with a real‑time monster‑battling system that lets you train and command a squad of beasts. You can have up to four creatures at once, and battles are driven by a scrolling bar of musical notes that determines each monster’s actions. Like Pokémon, you locate, capture and raise monsters to thwart an encroaching evil. Towns are composed of static locations—houses, inns, bars, dungeons and shops—each selectable with a cursor.

Storyline

In Zoor: Majuu Tsukai Densetsu, the world is a lush green land that nurtures many lives, including humans and demons. The demon beasts respect territory and only attack when provoked.

Humans have built a walled city where they coexist peacefully with the demons, aware of the unspoken pact. Some humans, known as demon masters, form friendships with the beasts and explore together.

The story follows a young demon master boy, born into this delicate balance, who sets out on his first adventure, learning the bonds between people and the creatures of the wild.
