Summary
WWF Attitude drops you into the late‑90s "Attitude" era with a roster that tops 40 WWF superstars – from Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock to Mankind, The Undertaker and the whole D‑Generation X crew. The game expands the War Zone formula, letting you craft a wrestler’s move set, costume and even pick original entrance music, while two‑man commentary from Shane McMahon and Jerry “The King” Lawler peppers each match with pre‑match taunts.
Career Mode replaces the old Challenge Mode: you start on house shows, climb the RAW ladder, hit Pay‑Per‑View events and chase the European, Intercontinental and WWF titles. New match types like First Blood and I Quit add variety, and the Create‑A‑Stable and Pay‑Per‑View editors let you design your own events, arenas and lighting schemes.
A hidden tribute runs through the game – the intro is dedicated to Owen Hart, who appears as a playable face despite his tragic death, and the original jobber characters were stripped out but their assets linger in the creator mode. Critics praised the deep roster and mode options, though some noted bland graphics and sound, making the N64 version a solid rental for wrestling fans but less compelling for newcomers.
