Play Tommy Thunder Online

Summary

Tommy Thunder was shaping up as a third‑person shooter for the Nintendo 64 before it vanished into development limbo. The project, handled by the modest Player 1 Studios, even got a tentative PlayStation port, but neither version ever saw a commercial release. In November 2007 a forgotten FTP directory on the old Player 1 site resurfaced, and a user named herpetic.adventures on the LostLevels forum chronicled the find. While digging through a “Press Info” folder, they uncovered two zip files—robo64.zip and tommy64.zip—containing what appears to be an early prototype of Tommy Thunder 64, complete with a handful of screenshots. Thanks to that accidental dump, we finally have a glimpse of a game that otherwise exists only in rumor.
