Summary

NFL Quarterback Club '99 blew the lid off N64 football. All 31 NFL squads—plus the newly‑re‑added Browns and a handful of NFL Europe teams—play on fully 3‑D rendered stadiums, and the game even lets you relive classic Super Bowls with on‑screen historical notes.

The AI was a real selling point: New York Jets offensive coordinator Charlie Weis helped craft a smarter opponent that feels like a genuine play‑calling battle. Over 250 motion‑capture animations give each of the 1,500 players a distinct look, while the creation tools let you build custom athletes, coaches, uniforms and even whole playbooks.

Thanks to Expansion Pak support the graphics stay crisp, and the broadcast crew—Mike Patrick, Randy Cross and Jerry Markbreit—adds a polished TV feel. Critics praised the title, handing it scores in the high‑80s and low‑90s across the board, and it even earned finalist nods for Console Sports Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Software Engineering.
