After their ship is boarded by Mizar’s drones, the three split up to halt the invasion, and Juno later rebuilds Floyd, a small floating robot that defects from Mizar and joins the cause.

The heroes trek across several worlds, rescuing the enslaved Tribals and eventually reuniting at Mizar’s Palace. King Jeff, the Tribals’ leader, supplies an ancient starship on the condition that the team saves all remaining Tribals, which they do before confronting Mizar on a nearby asteroid heading for Earth.

In the climax, Mizar is revealed to be a robot piloted by King Jeff’s jealous brother Barry, who apologizes for the chaos. With the asteroid about to strike, Floyd volunteers to carry a warhead into its core, sacrificing himself to destroy the rock.
