Summary
Duck Dodgers Starring Daffy Duck lands on the Nintendo 64 with solid platforming that spans five distinct planets. The game lets you guide Daffy using a simple kick, a jumping stomp, and, in select sections, a ray gun that either stuns or eliminates foes. Scattered quarks act as health pickups, and every fifty earned rewards an extra life, while gathering the required energy atoms opens the boss encounters. Bonus rounds include a quirky Pong‑style challenge with Daffy’s head and a basketball mini‑game that break up the core action. It supports the Rumble Pak for tactile feedback, and a built‑in battery backup saves progress straight to the cartridge, eliminating the need for a Controller Pak. A hidden appearance by Lola Bunny even grants an additional chance if you’re lucky enough to find her.
Storyline
In Duck Dodgers Starring Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian unveils an ultimate weapon designed to destroy Earth and seize the universe. The weapon, however, runs out of the atoms it needs to fire, so Marvin dispatches his Looney Tunes minions to collect the missing hundred atoms. The Space Academy alerts Duck Dodgers, who teams up with his eager Cadet to stop Marvin’s plan.
Dodgers and Cadet race across four distinct worlds, each hiding a portion of the atom cache. Their journey even takes them aboard a massive pirate ship drifting through space, adding a swash‑buckling twist to the quest. By gathering all the atoms before Marvin can finish his device, they aim to save Earth and keep the galaxy safe.
