Summary

Bust-A-Move 2: Arcade Edition flips the classic Tetris formula on its head – you fire colored bubbles upward at a descending ceiling, trying to line up three of the same hue to make them pop. The N64 port bundles the core puzzle stages with a branching map that lets you pick between two sets of five levels, so each playthrough can end differently. A tournament mode pits you against computer opponents, many of whom are nods to Bubble Bobble’s cast, like quirky versions of Monsta and Mighta. Time‑trial challenges add a speed‑run flavor, and finishing the single‑player campaign unlocks a secret "Another World" mode that swaps in Bubble Bobble‑style backdrops and tougher layouts. By the time this version hit the console, Acclaim was selling it at a modest $50, using the PAL cover art that fans recognized from the earlier releases.
