Summary

Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 (often just called Sarge's Heroes 2) tries to blend a plastic‑toy world with everyday settings, letting you blast through kitchen counters and backyard gardens while the soundtrack ramps up whenever a wave of enemies appears. The game is packed with little interactive touches—wine bottles shatter, soda cans crumble, and even toy robots pop up as surprise foes, which is the most praised part of the experience. Unfortunately, the charm is undercut by clunky, unresponsive controls and a camera that frequently loses track of the action, making aiming feel more like guesswork than skill. Visuals suffer from blurry, low‑contrast textures that bleed together, and the collision detection often lets you walk through walls or get stuck on invisible barriers. On the bright side, the abundance of health and weapon pickups keeps the difficulty low, though the enemy AI is so basic that battles can feel monotonous, reduced to endless waves of tan soldiers with few moments of variety.

Storyline

Army Men – Sarge's Heroes 2 picks up right after the events of the first game. The plot hinges on the claim that capturing Field Marshal Tannenberg will finally end the war. Meanwhile, General Plastro has vanished, and the story suggests he fell victim to plastrification, ending up trapped in the real world.

A new character, Bridgette Bleu, appears as a Blue Nation spy who has created a serum capable of reversing plastrification. Players control Sarge—occasionally switching to Vikki—to destroy the serum, wipe out Tan soldiers, and capture both Plastro and Tannenberg. Sarge also has to rescue Vikki when her curiosity lands her in trouble.
