Storyline

Set in 1844, the game Akumajou Dracula Mokushiroku Gaiden – Legend of Cornell (often called Legend of Cornell) follows the man‑beast Cornell as he returns to his village, which has been razed by Dracula’s minions. He discovers Ada’s pendant, follows her scent, and heads for Dracula’s castle to stop her being used as a sacrifice.

Along the way Cornell reaches the Oldrey estate, where Gilles de Rais and Actrise have turned the family patriarch into a vampire. At Mary Oldrey’s request he guides their son Henry to safety; years later Henry returns to Castlevania to rescue kidnapped children.

Cornell’s rival Ortega, now a chimera allied with Dracula, confronts him in a final battle. Cornell defeats Dracula and saves Ada, but only by relinquishing his man‑wolf powers—an offering the dark forces had coveted as the true sacrifice for Dracula’s full resurrection.
