Summary

World Class Track Meet, known to many of us retro fans as Stadium Events, started its life in Japan in 1986 under the name Running Stadium before crossing the Pacific. The American version arrived a year later, and a second re‑release in 1988 gave it the title most collectors recognize today. What makes the game stand out isn’t just the pixel‑perfect sprinters, but the Family Fun Fitness Control Mat that turns your living room floor into a makeshift track.

In Tournament Mode you chase a single opponent, while Olympic Mode strings together four different events for a cumulative score. After you finish, the top six finishers and their points flash on an on‑screen electronic billboard, giving the feel of a real‑world meet. The blend of simple controls and a quirky scoreboard keeps the experience fresh even after decades of play.
