Summary

War in the Gulf is a Brazil‑made NES‑style shooter that appeared on the Turbo Game console. The plot centers on a power‑hungry politician who assembles a super‑strong army to seize the Persian Gulf and its prized black gold, leaving oil‑dependent nations scrambling for a response. In the game’s universe, those nations form a global peace organization and dispatch the high‑tech SUPER AH‑64 helicopter to strike back at the invader’s forces. The title’s long‑winded subtitle, “The Paradise of the Black Gold,” underscores the oil‑driven stakes that drive every mission. Though the hardware is a clone, the game’s frantic aerial combat feels surprisingly polished for its origin.
