Summary

Toxic Crusaders on the NES drops you straight into the neon‑slick streets of Tromaville, where the rag‑tag heroes from Troma’s cartoon are the city’s last line of defense against the alien schemer Dr. Killemoff and his Radiation Rangers. You play as Toxie, the mutant with a mop for a weapon, and the whole premise hinges on rescuing his captured teammates before the clock runs out. The game is pure action: you can only jump and throw punches, and your trusty mop can disappear if you take too much damage, forcing you to fight bare‑handed. Across six increasingly chaotic levels you “mop up” waves of enemies, each stage packed with quirky hazards that feel lifted straight from the show’s off‑beat humor. The core loop is simple but relentless, rewarding quick reflexes and a willingness to keep swinging even when the mop is gone.
