Summary

Tiny Toon Adventures 6 is a curious NES hack that surfaced in 1997, built by the Hummer Team (credited as Jing Tay Team) and released by China’s J.Y. Company. It reimagines the 1992 monochrome Game Boy title Tiny Toon Adventures: Babs' Big Break, borrowing code, music, and color sprites from the earlier NES version of Tiny Toon Adventures while adding its own twists. The player starts with six lives and four hearts—double the original’s two lives and two hearts—and can choose among three characters: Buster Bunny, Plucky Duck, and Hamton Pig, with Buster and Plucky’s sprites lifted from the NES game and Hamton’s recolored from the Game Boy source. Unlike the original, the hack lets characters run, and several levels from the source are omitted. A quirky detail is the dual title screens; depending on the cartridge’s hardware switch, the game may display the alternate name “Porky Pig & Daffy Duck,” featuring Hamton and Plucky’s faces, a hallmark of J.Y. Company releases.
