Summary

The Jetsons: Cogswell's Caper drops you into the retro‑futuristic world of George Jetson, armed with anti‑gravity boots, a glider and a jet‑board. After Cogswell threatens Planet M38, George must trek through eight side‑scrolling stages, crouching, jumping and using the gravity‑flip switches that briefly let him walk on ceilings. Along the way family members hand out power‑ups while crates litter each level, ready to be tossed at the quirky alien foes—play‑style that feels a lot like Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers. Infinite continues let you chase completion at a relaxed pace, but the game’s difficulty spikes make every checkpoint feel earned. Natsume’s sprite work and Taito’s polish earned it a 73 % score from Electronic Gaming Monthly in early ’93, and despite the quirky premise it’s remembered as a surprisingly tough platformer for the NES.

Storyline

In The Jetsons: Cogswell’s Caper, George Jetson receives a direct order from his boss at Spacely Sprockets. Spacely wants George to shut down Mr. Cogswell’s latest profit‑making venture, a hazardous mining operation on the distant planet M38. The game follows George as he navigates futuristic obstacles to sabotage the facility and halt Cogswell’s scheme. Along the way, he confronts the corporate rivalry that fuels the conflict, turning a routine work assignment into a high‑stakes space adventure.
