Summary

The NES version of *The Incredible Crash Dummies* delivers a quirky platform‑action experience built by Software Creations and released under the LJN label. You control a pair of crash test dummies – Slick and Spin – switching between them to solve each screen’s challenges. Slick’s signature move is a unicycle ride that can be knocked backward by enemies or hazardous obstacles, adding a playful twist to the standard jump‑and‑run formula. The game's other incarnations started on the Game Boy before Teeny‑Weeny Games adapted the concept for Sega’s Master System and Game Gear, but the NES edition remains the most remembered for its bright art and oddly satisfying physics.

Storyline

The NES version of The Incredible Crash Dummies gives the game an original storyline. Slick and Spin, the heroic crash dummies, are sent on a rescue mission. Their goal is to free Daryl—mistakenly referred to as “Darryl” in the instruction manual—along with Spare Tire and Bumper. All three have been captured by the villain Junkman, and the duo must battle through his traps to save them.
