Summary
T&C Surf Designs II: Thrilla's Surfari (often just called Thrilla's Surfari) throws you into a wild mix of skate, surf and even shark‑riding action. One minute you’re grinding a skateboard through dense jungles and scorching deserts, the next you’re catching waves on a surfboard down raging rivers and towering waterfalls, and in the deepest caverns you hop on a shark to glide through submerged tunnels.
The game is a relentless obstacle course: you dodge pits, leap over traps and blast past a menagerie of foes—from lumbering elephants and towering giraffes to venomous spiders, snapping snakes and electric eels. Collecting coconuts, bananas and the coveted hand‑stand power‑up grants brief invulnerability, letting you barrel through danger. Critics took note, with GamePro awarding a solid 4 out of 5 for its over‑the‑top, adrenaline‑pumped gameplay.
Storyline
In T&C 2 – Thrilla’s Surfari, the player controls Thrilla Gorilla, the mascot of Town & Country Surf Designs. The opening cut‑scene shows Thrilla’s girlfriend, Barbi Bikini, being snatched by the evil African witch doctor Wazula, a Kahuna who has taken her deep into the continent. Determined to rescue her, Thrilla sets off on a surf‑powered adventure across African locales, battling the witch doctor’s minions along the way. The whole premise revolves around Thrilla’s race against time to save Barbi before Wazula’s dark plans succeed.
