Summary

The Super Cartridge Ver 3 – 8 in 1 (Unl) is the third entry in Sachen’s notorious nine‑cart multicart line that slipped onto the NES in the mid‑90s. It pulls together almost the entire early Sachen library – most of it originally from Joy Van – and wraps it in an English‑language shell that feels like a time‑capsule of pre‑1993 home‑brew. Among the eight games, you’ll find a Rally‑X clone called Jovial Race, the oddly infamous Little Red Hood adventure, and Twin Eagle, a side‑scroll shooter that manages to feel surprisingly tight despite its budget roots. Silent Assault is a quirky platformer that, thanks to a glitch in its semi‑final stage, can’t be finished – a reminder that these carts were often assembled without thorough QA. The set also throws in Super Pang 1, a faithful arcade port, and three distinct Minesweeper variations: a classic three‑level version, a custom‑grid mode, and a two‑player competitive spin. It’s a nostalgic grab bag that showcases the breadth of Sachen’s early output while offering a few oddball exclusives you won’t see anywhere else.
