Summary

Street Cop stands out on the NES thanks to its quirky use of the Power Pad. You sprint across a scrolling cityscape by stepping on the pad, and the faster you move, the more aggressively the game’s police chase ramps up. Turning corners feels surprisingly responsive, keeping the chase lively as you hunt down each crook.

When you finally close the distance, the standard NES controller takes over: a quick press of the nightstick button lets you apprehend the suspect. The blend of foot‑controlled speed and button‑based capture makes Street Cop a memorable, if unconventional, retro arcade experience.
