Summary

Sesame Street: Big Bird's Hide & Speak (often just called Big Bird's Hide & Speak) feels like a breath of retro simplicity on the NES. The D‑pad doesn’t move a character at all – it spins four windows clockwise, and both A and B act as a “pick” button, while Start and Select drop you back to the game‑select menu.

Big Bird leads the action, with Little Bird as the cursor and familiar faces like Bert, Ernie, The Count, Grover and Elmo popping up in the windows. The first two stages are pure call‑and‑response: Big Bird tells you which window to open and you select it. The next pair adds a memory twist, because the windows close after the cue and you have to recall the correct spot.

Level five shifts to spelling: a three‑letter word is announced and you must choose the right letters from the rotating windows. The final sprint cranks up the pressure, letting you string together as many different words as possible before the timer runs out, with the letters reshuffling after each successful word.
