Storyline

As Mac strings together successful hits, he earns stars that power a devastating uppercut, the only move capable of turning the tide in tight bouts. After clinching the championship in each circuit, he faces the ultimate "Dream Fight," originally against real‑life champion Mike Tyson, later replaced by the fictional Mr. Dream (or Super Macho Man in the Gold Version). A loss to a ranked foe can grant a rematch, but repeated defeats drop Mac in the rankings and a third loss—or a loss in the Dream Fight—ends the game.
