Game Info
Summary
Parallel World drops you into an overhead arena where every puzzle is a race against a 100‑second clock. You blast away springs, rollers, witches and zombies not just to survive, but to snatch extra loot that fuels your progress. The faster you clear a stage, the sweeter the reward, making each second feel like a high‑score chase.
The game supports two players: the first takes the male hero, the second the female counterpart. Both start with only three lives, and a single misstep—whether the timer expires or a monster makes contact—costs you dearly. This tight survival loop keeps the tension high, especially when you’re juggling frantic button‑mashing with strategic positioning.
All of this unfolds inside a sprawling castle that houses 25 distinct worlds, each guarded by its own set of quirky enemies. The variety of foes and the sheer number of stages give Parallel World a surprisingly deep replay value for a 1990 Family Computer title.
