Summary

Mechanized Attack lets you pick between the classic NES pad or the Zapper, turning a retro light‑gun shooter into a surprisingly flexible experience. The NES version even hides a cheeky Easter egg on the System Construction Screen: a female figure will strip herself after a secret input, only to be followed by a hexagram that can lock the game up if you keep pressing the right buttons.

In the main game you’re dropped onto a tropical island swarming with a cyborg army, armed with a rapid‑fire machine gun. The opening stage skims over water, where you blast gunboats, a helicopter and a full‑size battleship before the island’s interior comes into view. Along the way the title lets you branch onto different paths, giving the arcade‑style shoot‑‘em‑up a modest amount of replay value.

Storyline

In Mechanized Attack on NES, the player leads a daring assault on a tropical island that serves as a hidden base for a cyborg army. The setting blends lush jungle scenery with the cold metal of the enemy forces.

Throughout the levels, foes that appear human—or even dog‑like—reveal themselves as machines once their flesh is destroyed, turning every encounter into a robotic showdown. Each battle forces the player to strip away the illusion of flesh to expose the true mechanized threat.
