Summary

Kamen no Ninja Hanamaru, literally "Masked Ninja Hanamaru," is a Japan‑only side‑scrolling platformer that first appeared on the Famicom Disk System. Capcom built the game with tight, responsive controls and a level design that rewards precise jumps and timing, giving it a classic arcade feel despite the home‑console format. What’s especially interesting is that the core mechanics—its run‑and‑jump rhythm, enemy patterns, and power‑up system—were later transplanted into the quirky North American title Yo! Noid, albeit with a near‑total visual makeover. In that sense, Hanamaru lives on as the hidden backbone of a very different, pizza‑promoting adventure.
