Summary

Kagerou Densetsu feels like a secret handshake among NES RPG fans. Developed by the modest studio ITL and wrapped up by Pixel Multimedia, this Japan‑only release from 1990 slipped under the radar of most Western collectors. The game’s pixel‑art world and turn‑based mechanics echo the classic Japanese role‑playing formula, yet it carries a distinct charm that sets it apart from its more famous contemporaries. For anyone hunting obscure 8‑bit adventures, Kagerou Densetsu is a rewarding find that still holds up today.
