Play Huge Insect (Unl) Online

Summary

Huge Insect is a true ghost of the early‑90s home‑brew scene, a title that vanished before it ever hit store shelves. I first heard the story from a collector who tracked down a handful of cartridges that Jason—better known as NES‑God—managed to order from the original developer, Sachen, back when the company was still dabbling in unlicensed Famicom releases. Only ten to twenty of those ink‑jet‑stickered boxes ever existed, each slipped into a generic, color‑coded Sachen case with a makeshift label that looks like it was printed on plain paper. The game itself feels like a love‑letter to Galaga, with swarms of bugs that you blast across the screen, but it refuses to run on a PAL NES even with a converter, so you need an NTSC machine to experience it. Because no official box art or label ever existed, every copy is a unique piece of retro history, and the chances of finding another cartridge are practically nil unless Sachen decides to resurrect the production run.
