Summary

Huang Di: Zhuo Lu Zhi Zhan, often just called Huang Di, is a curious footnote in NES history. Released in 1994, it never saw an official license from Nintendo, which gives it a raw, unpolished charm that collectors love. The game was both developed and published by the obscure Chinese studio Asder, a name that rarely appears outside niche retro circles. Its graphics and sound are unmistakably 8‑bit, but the lack of Nintendo’s seal means it slipped under the radar of mainstream Western gamers. Today it’s a sought‑after oddity for anyone hunting the strangest titles the console ever produced.
