Summary

Hototogisu drops you into the chaotic swirl of Japan’s Sengoku era, where the humble cuckoo’s name doubles as a reminder of fleeting peace. As a daimyo you’re forced to juggle the day‑to‑day responsibilities of ruling a province while plotting the next campaign to expand your domain. Every decision feels like a delicate brushstroke on a war‑torn canvas—alliances can crumble as quickly as a cherry blossom, and a single misstep may cost you an entire clan.

The title never left Japan’s shores, a hidden gem from Tamtex that lives in the shadow of more famous rivals like Koei’s Nobunaga’s Ambition. Its rarity only adds to the mystique, offering a raw, unpolished glimpse into the strategic depth that defined early Japanese war simulations.
