Summary

Hogan's Alley was one of the first Nintendo titles to put a light gun in the hands of players, turning a simple TV screen into a shooting range of cardboard cut‑outs. You’re faced with a mix of gangsters and innocent by‑standers; only the bad guys earn a hit, while a miss on a civilian or a failure to shoot a gangster costs a life. The game cycles between two main backdrops – a blank wall and a city block – each presenting five targets per round, and the pace ramps up as you survive.

After the standard rounds, the "Trick Shot" bonus challenges you to bounce ten tin cans across the screen, rewarding unused ammo and precise ricochets. A visible "MISS" counter tracks every mistake, and reaching ten ends the session. Bonus lives appear at set score milestones, keeping the pressure on while you try to outshoot the ever‑faster onslaught.
