Summary
Hidden Chinese Chess, sometimes called Um Chi or Glommy Chess, is a quirky twist on the classic Chinese Chess board game. It strips the full board down to just one side and hides every piece face‑down in the squares, turning the whole thing into a guessing game. On your turn you flip a piece; whatever color shows up instantly joins your army, and you can then slide it one step orthogonally—cannons are the only exception with their own leap‑and‑capture rule. The hidden‑piece mechanic forces you to balance discovery with aggression, because each new reveal could open a sudden attack or a surprising defense. Victory comes when you either wipe out all of your opponent’s forces or capture that final, lone piece left on the board.
