Summary

Escape from Atlantis, the unreleased NES prototype from Color Dreams, feels like a hidden gem that never saw the light of day. The action‑packed premise hints at frantic underwater escapes, with the player dodging hazards while trying to rescue stranded sailors. Even though the cartridge never shipped, screenshots and demo footage reveal crisp 8‑bit graphics and a surprisingly tight control scheme. It’s a fascinating glimpse into what could have been a standout title in the early ’90s arcade‑style library.
