Summary

Eggerland: Meikyū no Fukkatsu, often called Eggerland – Revival of the Labyrinth, feels like a sprawling puzzle playground built on an 8‑by‑16 grid of roughly 162 rooms. Most of the maze is linear, with only a handful of junctions letting you pick a direction, which gives the whole thing a satisfying forward momentum. Along the way Lolo can snag a raft to splash into the southwest waterways, a handy map that stays with you, and a quirky Magic Bell that rings only in four secret castle rooms. The game also hides four special keys that unlock hidden doorways, each leading to a fragment of a massive King Egger tablet you need for the final stretch. Collecting the tablet pieces opens up God dungeons, and friendly Buddhas pop up in empty chambers to drop hints. This design later became the backbone of Eggerland – Departure to Creation, preserving the core challenge while expanding the world.

Storyline

Eggerland - Meikyuu no Fukkatsu (often just called Eggerland) puts players in the shoes of Lolo, a blue, spherical hero with eyes, arms and legs. The game’s plot centers on the villainous King Egger, who has captured Princess Lala—Lolo’s pink‑ or red‑clad counterpart who always wears a bow. Determined to save her, Lolo must venture across King Egger’s domain, navigating a series of puzzle‑filled rooms. Each stage challenges the player to solve the layout’s riddles before moving on to the next. The ultimate goal is a classic rescue: Lolo’s journey through the labyrinthine puzzles leads to Lala’s freedom.
