Summary
Dough Boy drops you into a frantic rescue mission where every second counts. You’re armed with a machine‑gun and a handful of dynamite, but the battlefield is littered with land mines, barbed‑wire trenches and even tanks that can run you over. Drowning, explosions and enemy fire are all instant game‑overs, and the clock ticks down from a 24‑hour in‑game limit (just five minutes of real time) that tightens after each round. The Famicom version adds a twist: Game A offers the core challenge, Game B throws constant missiles at you, and the 2‑Play mode splits control between a soldier and the missile stream, letting a second player help or hinder the action. Keys hidden in exploded canisters or enemy barracks unlock the next stage, while naval forces, bridges, watch towers and enemy barracks appear as you progress, keeping the pace relentless.
Storyline
In the NES game Dough Boy, the player’s mission is to infiltrate a prisoner‑of‑war camp and rescue a captured soldier. The objective is straightforward: locate the POW, avoid enemy guards, and guide the rescued comrade to safety. The game’s premise centers on this daring rescue operation.
