Summary
Cycle Race: Road Man drops you into a 4,000‑kilometre grind around Japan’s coastline, where every stretch is marked by exact altitude readings and a distance‑to‑finish counter. You pick a rider from Team USA, Japan, France or Italy—each squad fields five characters with distinct strengths and culturally‑flavored names, and their teammates toss you power‑ups like speed boosts, on‑the‑spot repairs, or extra water and energy drinks for the longer legs.
The bike you ride matters: colors range from green to red to blue, and each model balances weight, speed and endurance differently, favoring high‑altitude climbs, low‑lying valleys, or a mix of both. As long as you keep at least one spare bike in your inventory, a total wreck won’t end the race, though a completely damaged frame, depleted energy, or falling below a ranking threshold will automatically disqualify you.
Finishing near the front earns points that act as currency, letting you purchase faster, longer‑lasting bicycles—once bought they stay until you deliberately destroy them in a race. Passwords let you pick up where you left off, and the journey is peppered with forests, cattle farms, and the quiet rhythm of a road cyclist’s grind.
