Summary
Cosmic Epsilon lets you take to the skies in a fast‑paced rail shooter that feels like a retro Space Harrier on the NES. The game pushes the console with a stereoscopic 3D mode that actually makes the enemies pop out of the screen, and the background scaling is surprisingly smooth for an 8‑bit system.
I’m constantly amazed by how the scrolling layers stretch and shrink, giving a sense of depth you don’t expect from a cartridge. The controls stay tight, letting you blast foes as they rush toward you, while the visual tricks keep the action fresh.
Storyline
In Cosmic Epsilon, an alien menace from the Epsilon Empire launches a campaign to wipe out all life on Earth. Players must battle through hostile worlds to stop the empire’s destructive plans. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance as the alien forces close in.
