Summary

Casino Kid II picks up where its predecessor left off, swapping the cramped casino floor for a globe‑trotting adventure. Instead of wandering hallways, you hop on a plane and fly to exotic locales, with each destination rendered in either daylight or night depending on the country.

The core of the game remains the same: roulette, poker and blackjack are presented with the exact same card‑game mechanics that made the original a hidden gem. Winning a hand still feels like a small, personal victory against the house.

What really sets this sequel apart is its soundtrack. The EIM sound team—Kenji Eno and Michiya Hirasawa—crafted a synth‑driven score that feels surprisingly sophisticated for an NES title. Oddly enough, despite its North American release in the early ’90s, Casino Kid 2 never saw a Japanese launch.

Storyline

In Casino Kid II (also known as Casino Kid 2), the young champion has already beaten the top players in Las Vegas. After that triumph, the world’s elite gamblers issue a new challenge, inviting him to a global showdown. The matches are coordinated by a mysterious organizer whose identity remains hidden. To expose this shadowy leader, the Casino Kid must travel the globe and defeat nine opponents in classic casino games—roulette, poker, and blackjack. Each victory brings him closer to uncovering the mastermind behind the worldwide tournament.
