Summary

Bigfoot is a monster‑truck racing title for the NES that leans on the fame of the real-life Blue‑flamed beast. Beam Software’s release was promoted through the cartoon segment of Video Power, letting the truck star in its own animated promo.

You pilot the iconic blue Bigfoot truck, while the AI fields the green Growler and yellow Charger, and in two‑player mode the opponent rolls in a red rig. Each opponent can be knocked out of the race if its money runs dry, only to be swapped for another vehicle, so the competition changes as you progress.

The game strings together six distinct events – car crushing, mud bog, tractor pull, hill‑climb, mixed‑type tracks and a final drag race – all tied together by cross‑country runs where you collect cash and try to keep damage to a minimum.

What sticks with me is the blend of old‑school arcade speed and a surprisingly gritty budget mechanic; every crash costs you points, and staying upright feels just as rewarding as crossing the finish line.
