Summary
Battle Storm is a turn‑based war‑strategy title for the Family Computer that lets you command modern weapons – tanks, fighter jets, military bases and even non‑nuclear missiles – across a handful of distinct battlefields. The stages range from dense jungles and swamps to forested hills and cramped urban streets, each demanding a different tactical approach.
At the start each side receives a virtual war chest of roughly $250 million, which you spend to field units, fire missiles and rebuild destroyed assets. A unit can either be moved or ordered to attack on sight, and any loss can be replaced for cash; the first commander to run out of money loses the war.
For a quirky twist, the game lets you adopt the persona of Hollywood action icons such as Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Eddie Murphy, Bruce Lee or Arnold Schwarzenegger, adding a tongue‑in‑cheek flavor to the otherwise serious combat.
An unofficial English translation patch appeared in 2015, opening the experience up to a broader audience beyond its original Japanese market.
