Summary

Battle Baseball, known in Japan as Batoru Bēsubōru, is a quirky Famicom title that feels like a love‑letter to classic Japanese pop culture. It lives inside the Compati Sports Series, a spin‑off of the larger Compati Hero franchise, and its roster reads like a who’s‑who of giant‑monster and superhero icons—Godzilla, Ultraman, Kamen Rider and even the mecha of Gundam all swing bats and pitch pitches. The game’s crossover premise is its most striking feature, turning familiar monsters into baseball players and giving fans a chance to see these legends compete on the diamond. Though it never left Japan, the concept of mixing kaiju‑sized heroes with a sports simulation still feels fresh and oddly charming today.
