Summary

AV Mahjong Club is a quirky entry in the Famicom’s underground library, born from the Taiwanese studio C&E and pushed onto the market by the notorious Hacker International. The game disguises a traditional mahjong puzzle under a cheeky “play‑for‑porn” mechanic: each time you clear a hand, the screen flashes a brief illustration of a nude or semi‑nude woman, turning a simple tile‑matching session into a risqué reward loop. Because it never received an official Nintendo license, the cartridge slipped under the radar of mainstream retailers, finding its audience in the gray‑market circles that chased novelty titles in the early ’90s. Even today, the title stands as a reminder of how indie developers and fringe publishers experimented with adult content on a console that was otherwise family‑friendly.
