Summary

AV Hanafuda Club is a quirky, unlicensed Famicom title that turns the traditional Japanese card game hanafuda into a cheeky showdown. The game lets you pick between the classic Koi‑Koi match‑up and the more frantic Bakahhana mode, then choose whether you’ll be dueling Reiko Hayama or Mayako Katsuragi—two actresses who were household names in Japan at the time. Each round plays out like a regular hanafuda contest, but the stakes are oddly visual: win a hand and you’re treated to a brief illustration of the chosen actress shedding a piece of clothing. The reward system feels like a tongue‑in‑cheek nod to the era’s “photo‑card” craze, making the title a memorable oddity in the Famicom’s AV series.
