Summary

Asmik‑kun Land is a bright‑hearted action platformer that made its debut on Japan’s Family Computer in 1991, courtesy of the publisher Asmik. The game’s title itself hints at the whimsical tone you’ll find inside, inviting players to guide the titular character through a series of lively stages. Though its reach stayed largely within the Famicom crowd, the title remains a charming footnote in early ’90s platform history, remembered for its distinct visual flair and the playful spirit that Asmik infused into the cartridge.

Storyline

In the NES title Asmik‑kun Land (known in English as Boomer's Adventure in ASMIK World), a pink dinosaur named Asmik‑kun – called Boomer in the Western release – sets out on a quest to recover six hidden fragments. Those fragments are needed to awaken the dragon ruler of the world and transform Asmik Land into a paradise.

Meanwhile, a wave of monsters has begun invading the once‑peaceful realm of the dragons. The only hope lies in contacting the six Dragon Gods, who are currently asleep. Asmik‑kun must travel across the globe to locate the six magical splitters, use them to rouse the dragons, and ultimately drive the monsters away.
