Play Addams Family, The - Uncle Fester's Quest Online

Summary

Uncle Fester's Quest drops you into a quirky shoot‑em‑up that flips between classic top‑down streets, dank sewers, and a floating UFO platform. The city’s layout feels like a maze, but the real twist comes when you slip into certain buildings and the view shifts into a pseudo‑3D dungeon crawl.

Family isn’t just for show—Thing, Wednesday, Gomez, Morticia, Grandmama and Pugsley each pop up in different houses to hand you new weapons or handy items. The most satisfying trick is the Noose: ring it and Lurch barrels onto the screen, mowing down every alien in one glorious sweep.

Five massive alien bosses guard the UFO’s secrets; defeat one and you snag a puzzle piece, a UFO schematic, and a full item refill. After each boss the building seals behind you, forcing you forward until the final showdown aboard the alien ship.

A subtle regional quirk: the North American cartridge makes Fester’s bullets bounce off walls, upping the challenge compared to the European version, where shots pass cleanly through obstacles.

Storyline

One night a UFO arrives over the Addams Family city and begins beaming up the residents. Grandmama, having foreseen the invasion, casts a protective spell on herself and the rest of the family. Gomez Addams stays at the mansion to guard it while the other members scatter through the town. Uncle Fester decides to rescue the townspeople from the alien abduction.

The game, officially titled Addams Family, The – Uncle Fester's Quest (often just called Uncle Fester's Quest), frames the whole incident as a kidnapping of an entire day by the UFO. Fester’s quest begins as he sets out to stop the alien raid and save everyone.
