Summary

Quarth, known in the arcade as Block Hole, brings a fresh twist to the classic falling‑block formula on the MSX2. Instead of merely stacking pieces, you pilot a tiny ship at the screen’s bottom, firing blocks upward to coax the descending shapes into perfect squares or rectangles. When a shape is completed it vanishes in a burst of points, rewarding you for both speed and precision.

The game’s pace ramps up quickly: blocks cascade faster and in more complex configurations as you advance, while occasional power‑ups can boost your ship’s firing rate or grant other bonuses. A single misstep and the blocks reach the dotted line, flattening your ship in a satisfying "quarthed" animation.

Two‑player options add extra replay value. In split‑screen mode each pilot battles side‑by‑side, while the cooperative mode lets both players share the same field, coordinating their shots to clear the ever‑growing puzzle. Quarth’s blend of shooter reflexes and puzzle strategy makes it a standout title on the MSX2 platform.
