Summary

Pac‑Man’s MSX port brings the classic arcade maze to the home computer with faithful recreation of the iconic gameplay. The player still guides the yellow circle through a bordered maze, gobbling dots while evading the four ghosts—Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde—each with its own AI quirks. The familiar power pellets flash near the corners; when eaten they turn the ghosts blue, let the player chase them for escalating points, and then the ghosts retreat to the centre box to regenerate. Fruit bonuses appear after a set number of dots, and the side tunnels still warp Pac‑Man and the ghosts across the screen. Despite the MSX’s limited hardware, the port preserves the increasing speed of the ghosts and the shrinking duration of the energizer effect, keeping the tension of the original arcade experience.
