Summary

Computer Othello brings the classic 8×8 board game to the MSX screen, letting you pit black against white in a battle of flips. The game starts with the familiar diagonal pair of opposite‑coloured pieces in the centre, and each move must sandwich one or more opponent tokens between the newly placed piece and another of your own, whether the line runs horizontally, vertically or diagonally. When that happens, every sandwiched token flips to your colour, and the turn passes to the opponent, who must do the same. If a player can’t make a legal capture, they simply pass, and the match continues until both sides are forced to skip. The winner is the one who controls the most squares when the board finally fills up.
