Summary

The Adventures of Batman & Robin on Game Gear, developed by Novotrade and published by Sega, rolls you into four distinctly themed levels. You battle through a chaotic theater ruled by the Mad Hatter, a frigid office building guarded by Mr. Freeze, a spooky graveyard stalked by Scarecrow, and an over‑the‑top amusement park where Harley Quinn and the Joker await. Batman is equipped with an endless supply of batarangs for ranged attacks, but limited‑ammo power‑ups appear in hidden boxes for extra firepower. Getting close lets you swap to melee strikes that pack more punch, and you can double‑jump to reach tight platform sections.
You start with nine lives and instantly respawn on death with full health and all ammo intact. The game offers infinite continues and a password system so you can pick up right where you left off, though each continue resets your score. These quirks keep the action fast‑paced while still rewarding skillful play without relying on cheap retries.

Storyline

The Adventures of Batman & Robin on the Game Gear pits the Dark Knight against a Joker‑led gang of classic foes who have kidnapped Robin. Batman must battle through four distinct locations, each split into two or three stages that end with a boss fight.

The first area is a spooky theater where the Mad Hatter awaits, followed by a frozen office building guarded by Mr. Freeze. The third zone takes him to a misty graveyard confronting the Scarecrow, and the final level is an eerie amusement park culminating in a showdown with Harley Quinn and the Joker himself.

Throughout the run Batman throws unlimited batarangs, can grab limited‑ammo weapons from item boxes, and switches to melee when up close; he can also double‑jump and starts with nine extra lives, infinite continues and a password system to resume progress.
