Summary

Tama & Friends: 3‑choume Kouen Tamalympic, often just called the Tamalympic, is a quirky action title that landed on the Sega Game Gear in the mid‑90s. The game pulls its charm straight from the 1994 Tama & Friends anime, translating the series’ cute park setting into a handheld playground. Players get to dash around the 3‑chome park, tackling mini‑challenges that feel like a light‑hearted Olympic event for the series’ feline cast. Its pixel‑art style is unmistakably retro, with bright colors that pop on the Gear’s tiny screen. Even though it never made a big splash outside Japan, the Tamalympic remains a delightful footnote for anyone digging through obscure handheld gems.
