Summary

Super Momotaro Dentetsu III is the lone entry from Hudson’s Momotaro Dentetsu line to ever land on a Sega platform, arriving on the Game Gear in late 1995. The handheld version, casually called Super Momotaro Dentetsu 3, carries over the board‑game‑style mechanics that make the series feel like a cross between Itadaki Street and Monopoly: you roll, land on squares, and negotiate property deals to build a railway empire. While the core formula stays true to its predecessors, this fourth installment sprinkles in a handful of subtle tweaks—new property tiles, refined transaction rules, and a few extra event cards—that keep the experience fresh without overhauling the familiar feel. The result is a compact, portable take on a beloved Japanese train‑simulation board game, offering the same strategic buying‑and‑selling loops that fans of the series cherish, now in the palm of your hand.
