Summary

Sports Trivia: Championship Edition on the Game Gear lets you test your knowledge of everything from baseball stats to Olympic records, all in a handheld format that feels surprisingly deep for a 1995 title. Developed by the modest team at Adrenalin Entertainment and backed by Sega, the game packs a surprisingly polished quiz engine into the tiny screen, with crisp sprites and a timer that keeps the pressure on. What really stands out is the way the questions are organized into themed rounds, letting you chase a high score while feeling like you’re competing in a real championship. Even though it’s a niche title, the fast‑paced format and colorful UI make it feel like a portable sports bar trivia night you can carry in your pocket. I still remember pulling it out on a long bus ride and getting caught up in the rush of answering before the clock buzzes.
